I’m a Digital Education Advisor at UCL and a postgraduate research student at the Open University. Involved in the M25 Learning Technology Group (SIG of ALT) and the Open Education Working Group (OKI).

Interested in digital as an enabler of education and scholarship, a wide spectrum of critical and learning literacies, open practices and resources, and particularly in the vexing and fascinating question of what do we mean when we call something open.

One of the meanings of open I would love to see considered more in relation to education and the web, is open-as-accessible, and in that spirit I would like to share an open resource I had a small role in developing which is designed to help educators improve accessibility of learning resources: bbk.ac.uk/birkbeck-for-all.
